Cinnamon Roll Breadsticks-Guest Post at The Spiffy Cookie

Alright! Today is the rehearsal dinner for Kevin (Michael's brother) & Emily's wedding!
Exciiiiiting!
Cinnamon Roll Breadsticks-
Also exciting is the fact that I'm guest posting at The Spiffy Cookie today! Erin, the super sassy, super brilliant, girl behind The Spiffy Cookie (speaking of which-how cute is that name? I literally started reading her blog for the sole reason that um...I love cookies. Yeahh) is working on finishing up her PHD (see, smart!) so she asked a few of her food blogging buds to help her out with some guest posts. Today that person is moi! Erin and I were lucky enough to meet when she was visiting NY, along with a group of food bloggers who live in the area, and we had so much fun! She is just as adorable in life as she is on her blog. And her blog-if you don't follow it yet, do. Let's just say that sometimes she does weekly chocolate/pb posts. Uh yes. It's because she lived in Ohio for awhile (where, as you may know, I am from) and Ohio State and Buckeyes and pb/choc. Get it? Got it? Good.

I decided to share these SUPER delicious, fluffy on the inside, crisp and sugar on the outside, cinnamon roll breadsticks. You'll never order cinnasticks from a pizza chain again. Click on over to her blog to read my guest post and get the recipe!

Quick Cinnamon Rolls

Quick Cinnamon Rolls
So, I know I just posted cinnamon roll muffins.
I realize you're probably thinking this is just a tad too similar, am I right?

Well OK, yes, these are cinnamon rolls made in muffin cups. And yes, they are a quicker, easier way to get your cinnamon roll fix in the morning. HOWEVER-these are much more like a real, classic cinnamon roll. They just don't rise or involve yeast. So, ya know, you can get these babies in your belly ASAP!

I actually preferred these to the muffins (Michael however liked the muffins better). I enjoy how they're really no different than a normal cinnamon roll, they're just more dense, obviously. But I don't mind that! The glaze is phenomenal as well. You will absolutely love all the cinnamon-sugar goodness without all the waiting.

Oh and I even used partial whole wheat flour when making these, and they turned out great. So that's an option. :)

Easy Cinnamon Roll Muffins

Easy Cinnamon Roll Muffins
Sorry about being all like...
not here on Monday.

I was so busy I completely forgot to get a post ready for you guys!
I hope you can forgive me.

Maybe these muffins will help?
Easy Cinnamon Roll Muffins
Who doesn't love cinnamon rolls for breakfast!?
But also...who has the time to make them in the morning? Pretty much no one.

Now, these muffins don't taste exactly like a cinnamon roll. It's more like they're the muffin version of those flavors. They're fluffy and full of that wonderful cinnamon sugar flavor, and drizzled with a simple and scrumptious glaze. These are wonderful warm and gooey. They're also fab. at room temp., if you're a weirdo like me who doesn't usually dig warm cinnamon rolls (I don't know why...I like em, but I like em better when they're a little cooler *shrug*). Anyway, I really hope you make these and like em and forgive me for being such a bad mean food blogger and neglecting you on Monday, ok? Ok!

Cinnamon Bun Scones

Cinnamon Bun Scones
Breakfast-time!

OK, so, as well all know, cinnamon rolls are delicious. However, they have one large drawback:
Time.
It can take awhile to make cinnamon rolls-and for most of us, that's not so much an option. That is part of the reason I love these scones. They have all of the best flavors of a cinnamon rolls, but in scone form (and some oats thrown in, which really just makes them even better). I honestly sort of think I may prefer these scones to actual cinnamon buns-I know! They really are delicious, though. Thick, chewy, full of cinnamon & sugar flavor, and pretty dark quick to throw together, especially if you have a food processor (Can we talk about how much I love my food processor? The answer is-A LOT). This isn't even a particularly difficult recipe, so that's a major plus as well. Michael was a fan. I loved them. I think you will too! :)

Sour Cream Cinnamon Rolls

Sour Cream Cinnamon Rolls
Hey look! A breakfast recipe on a Monday, it's just like old times. :)

This is the first time I have ever made any kind of (non-Pillsbury) cinnamon rolls! I have a bunch of cinnamon roll recipes, but I knew I wanted to start with something a little on the easier side. These were a perfect first effort! They were fairly easy, and only required 1 hour and 15 minutes for rising time. They taste amazing, too! I love the glaze, especially. I'm not a huge fan of thick frosting on cinnamon rolls, and tend to err towards glazes just like this one :). Oh, and they make your house smell amazing. So, you know, there's that.

Anyway, try these cinnamon rolls! The sour cream gives them a little something special, Michael and I loved them, and they're pretty simple to make!
