Top 11 of 2011!
Hello! I'm back!
Hello! I'm back!
I missed this blog of mine, but I had an amazing Christmas and got to spend some much needed time with family and friends. (I also bought a super duper awesome new camera that I'm so excited to take pictures of food with! I'm such a weirdo.) But now, New Year's is creeping up on me! 2011 has been such a crazy year. I've had a bunch of acting work, I got a new day job, dealt with another case of roommate drama, STARTED THIS BLOG, Michael moved here, we got our amazing apartment, and it feels like my life has started this year! (Here's hoping next year sees a ring ;) )
Most of my favorite food bloggers have been doing lists of the top viewed and of their favorite recipes. I love the idea, so here's my round up! First your favorites, then mine. :)
Top 5 Most Viewed Recipes of 2011 (AKA-Your Favorites!)
I can't blame you guys for loving this super quick, easy, crock-pot meal!
#4. Mini Apple Pies
This recipe shot up in views really quick! I'm not surprised. These are one of my favorite discoveries from this year, plus they make the boy reeeally happy. :D
I sometimes have dreams about this applesauce. It's so good. I'm never never ever buying applesauce again. I'm glad you all agree (and we all enjoyed those cute pictures cute 6 year old Michael drew, too, didn't we :P?)
These were like candy...and cookies...but brownies....nnnghhh
Ok, y'all! You stole my favorite! Now what am I going to put for my number 1!?
I'm just teasing, I'll obviously think of something. But I just want you to know...I agree. This is my all time favorite. It's amazing. And I want some now.
Cooking Actress' Top 6 Favorite Recipes of 2011
I mean....chocolate chip cookies...with candy inside. There's really nothing not awesome about that.
#5. Caramel Corn
I'm a caramel corn convert. This is so addictive and so tasty! I'm looking forward to popping my own kernels then making this caramel corn recipe sometime soon!
Still one of the most beloved and requested desserts by both Michael and I.
#3. Cheddar Biscuits
Um, yeah. Cheddar biscuits with scallions, and a garlic butter brush on top. I'm so in love with these. Another favorite at my house*

Oddly enough my top 2 favorites are some of my first recipes that I posted! These brownies have marshmallows in them-but they're melted. The result is a gooey, rich, out of this world brownie! So far, probably the best brownie I've ever had.
Yeah-there was no problem finding my other favorite. This chocolate chip cookie pie still appears in my dreams. It's buttery, chocolatey, gooey, rich, decadent, and just makes your whole body tingle in food bliss.
Happy New Year!
Let's make it the best one yet.
