Something Saturdays (8/25/12)

Last Sunday Michael's dad and step-mom (Jeanne, we love her), visited us. It was such a wonderful day! It was their first time seeing our apartment and Astoria! They absolutely loved the apartment, and the area, and everything we ate (we enjoyed that too :P)! We got lunch/dinner at a Greek seafood restaurant Okeanos and got dessert at our fave bakery Martha's. It was so much fun spending time with them.
(Left: Michael's Dad, Jeanne, Michael, and me, eating at Okeanos. Right top: Michael and I @ Okeanos. Right bottom: Chuck and Jeanne @ Okeanos. Right Mid: Our desserts at Martha's Bakery. Michael's mocha frappe, Chuck's lemon & coconut cake, my Mississippi Mud Pie, and Jeanne's fruit tart. Everything was delicious!)

Note: I think it's hilarious that I have to say this again, but as there have been some comments, I will once again state: Michael is my boyfriend. He is almost 26 years old. He is not my son. I do not have children yet. That is all :P.

Movies/TV Talk
Are any of you True Blood watchers? I am. It's vampires, there's no way I'm not watching it. Anyway, this season...umm...(Sort of spoilers coming, but vague enough that hopefully you don't kill me if you're behind): OMG...Bill-what are you doing? How gross is Steve Newlin? Umm...these fairies are being handled so differently from the books it's disarming and also...fairies. Jason's been super adorable this season. Jessica too. I like what they're doing with Tara & Pam. Sookie is sort of almost not even a main character, to me, this season. She's getting boring. They need to get her in a more interesting story line. Any of you guys have any input?

Also--I've been watching the Catching Fire (2nd Hunger Games book/movie) casting site like a hawk. I've been pretty darn happy with all the casting so far...but I know they knew that everyone was waiting for them to cast one, charming, lovable character aaaand: THEY FINALLY CAST FINNICK! I don't really know this guy they cast, but he seems like he could maybe work. Only time will tell I s'pose. For any Hunger Games fan, thoughts?
