I'M BACK!
Thank you so much to everyone for all your sweet thoughts and wishes for my trip home! And also, a very special thank you to Kristina and Jen for being awesome enough to guest post for me so you guys had something to read! I love my food blog family :) And, I had an extremely wonderful visit with my family and friends in Ohio. I miss them already.
Today I have a little review to share from my trip. On Saturday, my mom, grandma, Aunt Cindy, and cousins Megan and Lindsey, and I all had a girl's lunch at Gervasi Vineyard.
Gervasi's is a new restaurant/vineyard/wedding venue/bed&breakfast locale that's popped up in my hometown. I tell ya, as soon as I leave everything great starts to pop up. It is this sprawling property with absolutely breathtaking grounds (vines, trees, flowers, a lake!) and pretty little buildings scattered everywhere.
I could not stop looking around. It was so gorgeous. I didn't even take pictures of everything!
The lake was so clear and pretty. And, it was a gorgeous day.
SO CUTE!
Inside the front, large building there is the main restaurant (The Bistro) which is super upscale and so pretty. However, we ate at The Piazza. We could sit outside, admire the beautiful estate, and eat some more reasonably priced items.
I ordered the Summer Pizza-which was delicious! The crust was to die for and I loved the combination of flavors from the cheese, basil, tomato, and roasted garlic. The only thing I would say is that for the thin crust, I felt the slices of tomato were too large-it made it very difficult to eat. I'd prefer if the tomato were sliced thinner or into smaller little chunks. But, overall, very tasty! And everyone loved everything they ordered-and the portion sizes were just right! Generous, but not to the point of too much food.
This place is so stunning, you guys. I've even set my mind on the fact that I'm totally going to take my wedding photos there. It's so beautiful I will cry if they don't let me!! (They hold weddings and receptions there, but my wedding will have too many people. But I so so SO want to take pictures there!!! AHHH!).
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!
